VOACambodia.Com Contest (January to April 2011)

All VOA Khmer listerners and online news readers stand a chance to win our monthly prizes. The contest will begin in January and end in April 2011. To join this contest, please answer our Question of the Month, which will be announced on VOA Khmer radio broadcasts, websites, and social networking sites Facebook and Twitter. Prize winners will be announced over airwave and on the Internet at facebook.com/voakhmer.

1) Prizes:

• January-March 2011: 1 Apple iPod Nano and 1 Flip digital video camera for two winners each month

• April 2011: Grand 'Khmer New Year' Prize 1 Apple iPad (See below picture)

2) Quiz Procedure:

• VOA Khmer broadcasts the question on radio at the beginning of each month on radio, followed by announcements on our social media websites.
  
• Submit your answer, in Khmer or English, to , by including the following information:

• Submit your answers by email by the 25th of each month (12:00am midnight Cambodia time). Late emails will not be eligible for the lucky-draw at the end of each month.
• 
  
• Participants are allowed to submit one answer (once) only per month. Multiple submissions (more than one answer or more than one email) per month will result in disqualification of the participant from the contest.
  

• In the last week of each month, the winner(s) will be chosen from the emails with the correct answer through a lucky-draw. VOA Khmer will announce the names of the two winners who will receive an Apple iPod Nano and a Flip digital video camera (January-March) the grand prize winner of the Apple iPad (end April).

3) Requirements and Regulations:

1. Cambodian citizens living in Cambodia with valid identification card or passport, or other identification documents.

2. Cambodian citizens living overseas (permanent residents) are not eligible for the contest. Cambodian citizens who temporarily stay abroad (i.e. for study, work, or other purposes) are eligible to participate but are required to receive the prize in person in Phnom Penh at the end of the month.

3. Neither VOA Khmer employees nor their immediate relatives are eligble to enter the contest.

4. Prize winners can win up to 3 three different items.

5. Winners will be contacted by phone (number provided by participant) to collect the prize at VOA Khmer office in Phnom Penh.

6. VOA Khmer reserves the right to keep participants’ phone numbers and email addresses and will not share with a third party.

7. Names and photos of the winners will be posted onfacebook.com/voakhmer.

Monthly Questions:

The first 'Question of January' will be announced on this webpage and on our Facebook and Twitter sites in the second week of January 2011, after it has been announced on VOA Khmer radio broadcasts. The January question will relate to the history of Voice of America's Khmer Service. Subsequent questions of the month will be about news items of VOA Khmer.
